Kristen L. Suszek
New Energy for Hollywood
I’m a 16-year Los Angeles resident, community volunteer, and creative leader running to make City Hall work better for the people who actually live and work here.
Finally, Someone Who Will Answer.
A leader in user experience design and creative direction, she has managed multidisciplinary teams building complex systems for national organizations, mission-driven institutions, and growing businesses.
Kristen believes government should work the same way good design does: it should serve real people, reduce friction, and deliver results.
After struggling to get help navigating a housing issue and receiving no response from her own council office, Kristen decided residents deserve leadership that shows up, follows through, and makes it easier — not harder — to live in Los Angeles.
She volunteers with local animal rescue organizations and serves as the Ohio University Alumni representative for the LA region. She is running to bring urgency, accountability, and fresh leadership to City Hall.
Small Businesses Are the Backbone of District 13
From Hollywood to Silver Lake, our small businesses define our neighborhoods. City Hall should be making it easier — not harder — to open, operate, and grow a local business.
Housing Should Work for Residents — Not Speculators
District 13 renters deserve stability, fairness, and accountability. We must protect tenants while addressing long-term vacancies that weaken our neighborhoods.
Revitalize Hollywood. Strengthen Silver Lake. Support Atwater.
Revitalizing District 13 means investing in lighting, cleanliness, green space, and vibrant public areas that bring people together.
Better Results Without Bigger Budgets
Before asking taxpayers for more, we must use what we already have more effectively — including modernizing how we approach public safety.
